Misty early walk with sunny finish - southern Loch Laggan
Posted: Tue Jun 09, 2015 8:26 pmIt was my first day off after working all weekend and 5 days after my previous long walk last week. I decided for this area to get 3 Munros in one route. Woke up at 00:05, I started my journey at 01:15 very early morning and heading to the north-west via Stirling, Perth and Dalwhinnie.
- Start point near the west end of Loch Laggan, just before the bridge over River Spean...parked here shortly after 04:00 am. Notice the heavy white clouds in the background, my target - all 3 munros are hidden there...

Then I disappeared in the mist, no visibility, wet condition and cold wind, not even a sign of the hills around...I decided to follow the path to Coire Pitridh and get the 1st Munro Beinn a' Chlachair from there instead the shorter steepy and very boggy shortcut 
- Finally a sign of view and better visibility near the 1st summit

- After short time on the summit: shortly clear and some inversion...Nice morning and fresh feelings to see something like this from summit in the time when most of people are just waking up

- Back to "normal" walking back on the summit plateau

First people I met almost on the end of my way back, a couple with their dog just started the walk...they had nice clear visibility with views around and sunshine...I got back to the car park at 12:19. It was a nice 28 km walk and because of the very early start half of the day still ahead
2.5 h driving time home then.
