Nice one Martin…..Another nice report with some super pics as ever. Well done on reaching your two hundred!

I’m looking at doing the Lairig Ghru Four this weekend - weather permitting, natch!...... I've been saving them for a long Summer day with plenty of daylight.

Gimme a shout if you’re free. Infact I might put a shout out on the Meet Ups board…. :?

Hi, nice report - and what a great day you had for it! :D
I'm going to rain on your parade a bit though, as a couple of your pictures are captioned wrongly. No disgrace in that, but always helps if you keep them filed for future reference.
The picture captioned Lairig Ghru looking north is actually looking up Glen Geusachan, with Monadh Mhor at the back.
And Nice shot of Braeriach is actually Cairn Toul.
Just by way of confirmation, though, that is indeed Aviemore in the pic with the question mark, and, out of interest, the picture of the shelter 400m from the summit is a wee piece of cartographical history. It's known as the Sapper's Bothy and was built in the 1800s by the Ordnance Survey, who set up camps (some with stone shelters as well as tents) to base themselves at while going through the numerous sightings and measurements they had to do. There's a good article about these Colby Camps in the most recent SMC Journal.

Oh, and congrats on the 200th. Must go out and climb some more non-Cairngorms myself
