Last week, I came up direct from Dalwhinnie and over Creagan Mhor intending to take in both Munros, returning via the cycle path to the Dalwhinnie Inn and a pint before the 2000 hours train. Not to be. The forecast white-out and 50-60 mph gusts arrived on time!! I made the ascent of Gael Charn slowly. The weather cleared and the view was tremendous. Sgairneach Mhor was in easy reach but unfortunately the timing would've meant a descent in the dark. It's a tricky steep descent to the farm in good conditions, but the dark and snow ground forced an about-turn. Good day though... another plus-point for Paramo!!! Fabulous gear!!
