Climbed this on my own after playing football and taking my Berghaus boots into Blacks in Glasgow. Ended up using dads cheap mountain warehouse boots which were more waterproof than mine!
Parked in Rowardennan due to the new parking restrictions meaning that it is forbidden to park anywhere on the road between Balmaha and Rowardennan. I walked back along the road and took the forestry commission path by Sallochy and followed that until I got up beyond the treeline. The path was boggy in places but not as bad as I was expecting. The summit was largely unimpressive but I got some nice views back over towards Conic and Binnein nan Gobhar. Ben Lomond was shrouded in cloud for most of the walk, but I got some great views of the Cobbler. I joined the path coming down Ben Lomond and headed back to the car. Satisfying walk for a Saturday night.
