A walk with Helen and Paul, who have never been up here. A long walk in but it is the best route if you have the time. Much more interesting than Glen Lednock route. The climb up out of the corrie is the hardest part, but once over the boggy terrain to the fence, it is a careful climb up though boulders to get to the bealach. It is not difficult. We had high winds and the climb up to the top was against the wind, not pleasant. So we had a quick look round then headed off again. Easy walk around Loch Turret at a high level to Carn Chois, the prominent point down the ridge. Just a dodgy boggy bit to navigate over and then a straight forward walk up to the scree slope. We kept to left and path heads to the top. Good view from here too. Followed the path over to the side to get a view over the reservoir. Then a steep drop down to a track along to the dam and back to the car park.
