The walk has been described by better writers than me, so this is mostly pictures. What a day for it today...

Left Succoth at 0715 hoping to avoid the worst of the heat, but with limited success; was pretty warm even then. Thought the warm weather over the previous few days would keep the midges down but wrong on that count too; they were driving me mad virtually until the summit of Narnain. Goodness knows what they's be like in wet weather.

Was up there a few weeks ago in very similar weather to you although prob just slightly cooler. Really enjoyed the ascent straight up Ben Narnain and the wee scrambly bit getting up onto the Spearhead. Will def be heading back up there to get up The Cobbler soon. :D

Love the pics, especially the 6th one, very moody.

Does anybody know what the forest holidays campsite at Ardgartan/Arrochar is like or any better local alternatives.
