Today was to be another quickie,
I was meeting Mike for M na L. He had dropped his girls off at Aviemore the previous day to do some hiking for their Duke of Edinburgh's award. He nipped over to Macdui for some exercise and got some blisters for his effort.

As I drove into park at the A9 side of the level crossing, I hit this mega-pothole which nearly ripped the car sump off - even though I was only doing 10mph ! A fisherman in a Mercedes did the same about 5min later.
There was no pool of oil so I parked up.

Mike duly arrived and fed his pooch, who was coming with us.

We crossed the line and headed along the track and over the dam to find a lovely quad track leading us up the hill to the flat top and on to the summit. For a change it was sunny. The grouse were shepherding their young and gave us the broken wing treatment as we passed.

Mike got a call on the top asking him to be back to pick up the girls at 2, so we headed down.

A bit of a stroll in good weather. - Headed back to Pitlochry.
