Fancied a quick walk today and the amount of times we have drove past Ben Ledi promising to climb it made the decision for us.
The climb itself was incredibly steep through the forest and quite tough going but soon enough we emerged onto the hillside. The terrain was easy going on a clear path and sooner than expected we gained the ridge, with a welcome wind providing respite from the stifling heat
Unfortunately a steep top lay between us and the iron cross which marks the high point but after a brief struggle we were on the final push and made the summit, our reward a stunning view of the entire southern highlands.
