This was mainly a trip to look for dotterel but since they obliged as soon as I reached the top of Geal Charn very early in the day I decided to add in Beinn Udlamain and A'Mharconaich to my second Munro round. A great day for walking, not too warm, little wind and good visibility. From the summit of Geal Charn I followed the path down to the bealach before A'Mharconaich but contoured up westward towards Udlamain before tracking back A'M. Other good birds were lots of red grouse, ravens, golden plovers and a twite. An excellent walk apart from the boggy section at the bottom of the north ridge coming off A'Mharconaich at the end of the day.
