A deliberately misleading name to keep the publicity down...

This is the most inspiring report I've read yet and whenever I've got anything challenging to do I will think of you powering your way across Loch Quoich on your pink lilo!

Not sure where I stand on this one tbh, on one hand I think you were very brave and only you know your swimming capabilities so kudos to you, on the other hand I think you may have been slightly irresponsible crossing the Loch with a li lo carrying all your walking gear anything could have happened cramp wind getting up li lo tipping up getting caught in an under current, I may well get slaughtered for my stance on this but I bet I'm not the only one with these thoughts

Amazing! 8) I have thought of getting to certain hills across the water, but swimming wasn’t the way I had in mind.

Many thanks all for your comments :D :D and the links for the Loch Quoich monster.
To answer the response of concern, I completely understand it!
Without my experience in different seas and some rather difficult situations in the past (I am also an experienced scuba diver) I think I would not have tried it. I guess like hill walking you sometimes have to check your experience and act accordingly. Swimming is something I am a lot more experienced like for example rock climbing, which in a million years I would do solo.
So to those out there who want to try he same, be assured that you are a good swimmer and know what to do when you get into difficulties.

superbly crazy route into a Munro , really do think you should have continued to the summit in your wetsuit and flippers though :D

Great report, certainly a different way to do it. Walking in to future ones will seem so boring now :)

Glad you made it back safely, dare I say you could always have rigged up a sail made from the head of a stag and some under garments :) Or maybe not!
