Lang Craigs group Ian, Garry Jim and Alan, Brenda and Carmel thought better of going to the top and did an alternative walk to a tea room in Crianlarich
We set off from the road side opposite Ben More farm at about 10.10 hoping for a nice day a couple of us set of in shorts and tee shirt.
The farm track seems quit steep and zig zags up the hill for about a mile once through the gate look out for sign’s of a track going up the hill about 200 meters, we missed it and spent quite a while going straight up the grass very steep and not much fun.
We eventually came across the path, by this time there was a bit of a shower but it would surly clear. It did but soon the rain came back and showed no sign of stopping, waterproofs on we decided to head straight for the top with as few breathers as possible. Arrived at the top about 1pm and had to shelter in the excellent rocky hole below the trig point.
After a bite to eat we headed down the way we had come up weather improving all the time, we got back to the cars just after 2pm. Back home in time to see England thrashed 4-1 by Germany in the World Cup.
Steep slopes and poor weather made this the worst walk of the year, sorry Ben More.
