Headed up to Newton more to do the Highlander-escape the redcoats duathlon. Had some time to kill the day before so thought I'd get a quick munro in. Carn Dearg fitted the bill. Visability wasn't great and due to a few days and nights of heavy rain the route was pretty boggy in places. Clouds cleared briefly near the to to revael vast sky and landscape. descended via Loch Dubh - always prefer a bit of a circular route rather than an out and back!
A'Chailleach and Carn Sgulain will need to wait for another day.
