First Solo Hillwalk

I occasionally walk up small hills or go on short walks alone, but I decided to climb Beinn Dubh after work last thursday for a change.

Luckily, the path (next to the primary school and over a stile to the right) was easy to find and also easy to follow, which is what I need for my terrible sense of direction.

I often film my trips and hillwalks, so here is the video from the day. Apologies if it isn't your kind of video, I like a wee chat ;) but made sure to include lots of the route and views. It was a lovely clear day but the video still includes a fall in a bog and a stray from the path (how?!) -

Different, but enjoyed it, apart from the wind it looked an outstanding day for the hills, with some superb summit views, I look forward to the next video BeautyCreep :)

Enjoyed that, solo walking is a special thing, and at least you were chatting to camera, I just chat to myself, the sheep and the deer...

I enjoyed that. Nicely filmed and edited.

I enjoyed the chatting to the camera bits. After one particularly awful descent in mist and rain I sat on a rock and talked to a tree for a while, so chatting to the camera is pretty sane by comparison :)

Thanks everyone! I talk to myself a lot in general, so talking to the camera was slightly more sane, ish!

The wind wasn't too bad eventually, but I was really lucky with the weather. Amazing views!

It's a good idea filming your walks, liked the views as I have not been over Loch Lomond direction walking for many years!

Looks like you had a good day for it..... and it wouldn't be a full Scottish hill experience without sticking your foot in a bog!
