Straight forward walk up to Cautley Spout, and then followed path up beside the right-hand stream to the col between Yarlside and the Calf before contouring around and up to the summit of Yarlside. The path is quite steep and, in places, indistinct. Returned by the same route.
A good walk to stretch the legs on a long travelling day.
Weather warm with a gentle breeze.
