Walked in from Corrie Hallie and arrived at Shenavall bothy around 10pm ish on the Friday evening. Arrived with our head torches burning to a relatively busy bothy.
We slept well in the back room, and come 7.30am we had left the bothy to start our circuit. Took us over an hour to cross the river from the Bothy, had to strip off and foot up with my trust trainers for crossing, but at least our feet would be dry for the start of our big day..
We headed straight up the NNE of the Corbett for some light scrambling, tricky in bits but quite manageable for us old timers.
Next few hours were a bit of a blurr, poor visibility wind and rain. Wasn’t until we reached A Mhaighdean that we saw some improvement in the weather, and come this time all we were concerned about was getting back to bothy before darkness fell.
With all the rain that fell throughout the day we knew that the final river crossings would be problematic. We dealt with that problem swiftly by running across both.
We spent our second evening at the bothy before leaving at 7.30ish to head for Corrie Hallie and our awaiting van.

your correct, they are more than capable. only a few doggie paddle strokes were needed. We chose the widest part of river for crossing as it was slower flowing and most probably shallower.

For too long myself and several others ( who will remain nameless) have been waiting and waiting for good weather for these hills

I shall definitely be doing these hills from Incheril, so as to avoid the worst of the river crossings

That looked a bit of a tough experience for you all in that weather, but I bet you're glad to have them done. Every week I check the weekend weather hoping for full sun over Fisherfield............but it never happens

Good effort in any conditions but to start off in that, I take my hat off to you. The 5 plus 1 doesn't have the same ring about it as The Fisherfield Six though, pity about the demoted summit So you finished soaking wet as well as starting wet

The weather certainly doesn't put you lot off . Well done, I loved these mountains...my 200th also

Being a softie, I would definitely want to do seductive hills like these in excellent weather

I always feel a great deal of sympathy for folk who've slogged through 10 or 12 hours of clag without any views!!

Simply stuning photographs, and lovely report. Did the round a couple of weeks too, and I'd never been so knackered in my life as after this walk! Some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland, so morth than worth it!
