Set out from the A896 car park and followed the track northwards into Coire Dubh Mor and then traversed round into Coire Mhic Fhearnchair. Climbed the scree and gully in the south east corner of the coire to reach the ridge which was followed up to the summit of Ruadh-stac Mor (1010m/3314’). We then returned to the col and traversed under the cairn at the east end of Choinnich Mor to the trig point at the top of the spur that descends into Coire an Laoigh. From there we followed the ridge up to the summit of Spidean Coire nan Clach (993m/3258’), before returning to the trig point and descending into Coire an Laoigh and the path to Glen Torridon. A two km walk along the road then brought us back to the car park.
Generally good visibility lower down with the cloud eventually clearing the summits.
