Uamh Oir... umm, or, Cave of Gold?

With a couple of hours to spare after visiting the Quiraing, we decided to head north to visit the Uamh Oir, or Cave of Gold, near Bornesketaig at the north end of the Trotternish peninsula.
I'll keep the text to a minimum, other than to say that navigation was easy (although some of the fences are no longer there), no access issues, and there were no problems with descending the steep slope to the cave, as the grass was dry. The tide was (nearly) low enough to enter the cave, although scrambling around the slippery basalt columns might have been asking for trouble. We detoured to Dun Bornaskitaig on the way back. Great views throughout. Anyway, here are a whole load of pics from a quiet, easygoing walk...
Something hypnotic about all those basalt columns...
