The Gaelic name describes it very well going by your description of the cleft splitting the hill in two :)

Cheers for the info regarding the new path. I've looked at doing the Corbett a few times so may be able to add these. Looked a good day out.

On the 60th anniversary in 2009 of the B29 crash, thought to have been caused by icing up of the plane, the widow of the young pilot Sheldon had left a poignant message of remembrance at the memorial.

Yes, I saw a photo of the message on a trip report for these hills. It is however no longer there.
