We did this walk in reverse to how the website said we should have. In hindsight, probably not a great idea, for us anyway, as we are relatively new to walking. We walked a couple of easy & flat miles on path (West Highland Way) towards the Kings House Pub and then took a sharp turn left and headed toward Beinn a'Chrulaiste via the bog! VERY boggy and uncomfortable. The climb became steep quite quickly, nothing too difficult, but it does end up being 3+ miles of difficult climb, some parts of which you are scrambling. If you're an experienced walker, do not be put off doing the walk this way, but if you are new to walking, do the walk the way the website suggests and do not bother taking the boggy way down to the pub, you'll have a beer and realise you're still a couple of miles from the car anyway :/ Getting to the top, now thats worth while! The views are truly stunning, from all sides, absolutely beautiful. Do the walk the way it's intended on the website, treat it as an out and back and you'll be done in 3 - 5 hours, easy, and the views at the top are what you'd be satisfied with after 8 - 10 hours.
