CHRIS MATHESON AND JAMES LEFT INVERNESS 08:00AM AND ARRIVED AT SKI CENTRE 09:00. SET OFF TO DO BEN MACDUI AND CAIRNGORM. COULDNT HAVE GOT A BETTER DAY. REALLY GOOD PATH MOST OF THE WAY CLEAR SKYS AND GOOD VIEWS IN ALL DIRECTIONS.REACHED BEN MACDUI APPROX 2HOURS. QUITE A LOT OF FELLOW WALKERS AND ABOUT 10 RUNNERS. SET OFF TO THE CAIRGORM AGAIN SUNNY CLEAR SKYS ALL DAY. MET QUIT A FEW WALKERS ON THE WAY. AT THE TOP A COUPLE OF HOURS LATER.
STOPPED AT THE PTARMIGAN FOR COFFEE AND CAKE AND THEN MADE OUR WAY DOWN THE WINDY RIDGE PATH BACK TO THE START.REALLY GOOD DAY AND LISTENED TO SCOTLAND BEATING USA AT THE RUGBY WORLD CUP FINISHED OFF A GREAT DAY OUT IN THE HILLS
