There is indeed damage from Spring 2015 rains which have washed out the bridge as well as a short section of the path along the water. However, a new path has been trod next to the wash out, along the riverbank, some extra caution is required.

But you can still do a circuit along this beautiful stream by turning on one of the trails which goes west, or left from the trail up the southwest side of the water. We turned left at the first trail junction which I think is not long before you would have reached the washed out footbridge. The trail is just before a small building and is marked with a white arrow sign.

Our B&B host suggested taking another trail slightly further on but it would have been more than we wanted to do. The trail we did take gradually climbed through the woods and followed a ridge line climbing about 260 meters behind Creag Bhaig, We were treated to some wonderful views of the Dee and surrounding glens and mountains with some nice autumn colors on the upper reaches. This section is quite boggy and it became frustrating slowly watching your footing to avoid puddles of muck.

After descending from the ridge we turned left at the next junction to descend to the road near Mar Lodge. You then follow the road for about a mile back to the parking area near the Linn of Quoich. I'd say the entire walk was five or six miles. The B&B host's idea would have taken us through a valley toward Lui Water before looping back to the road, joining the trail that we took. That may have been even more interesting and perhaps less boggy. All of these trails are on the map.

Both footbridges across the river have been replaced, it is now possible to complete a circuit using them but the path on the North East side of the river has been washed away in parts and you will have to take to the forest. The road bridge has not yet been repaired but a diversion is signposted at the carpark.
