Nice work! Easy to think of Wyvis as one of the less inspiring hills in the area, but as it makes up a large part of the view from my house, I rather like it.

An Cabar is certainly steep though. In 2006, the only time I had my crampons out was to descend it! This was in April, too.

Plenty of other local hills that are worth doing. You can't go wrong with the views of Loch Ness from Meall Fuar Mhonaidh:

A bit more off the beaten track, but probably not much harder than Wyvis are these two in Strathconon:

This is a great little hill just down the road, too. Not the most exciting walking, but for the amount of effort, the views are stunning:

Not to mention Cairngorm and Ben Macdui. I could go on and on...........

Well done taxi

Ben Wyvis was my first Munro almost a year ago now - I remember well the leg burning going up An Cabar!

Going Drumnadrochit way this weekend weather permitting. Looking at the reports of other walks on here it looks as if I will get a real feast for the eyes no matter where I go.

Hi

Was thinking about this report today and realised it must have been you that gave me and my wife a ride home to Culloden last night! Good luck on getting out on some more hills in the near future.
