The initial paln was for the 9 munros in the Cairnwell but at the last minute
the wife sprung on me other plans so I had to be home early :(
So I set of at 5am to do the Glas Maol circuit plus Tom Buidhe and Tolmount

I reached the layby at the foot of Creag Leacach and looking up the clag
was starting to shroud the tops ,anyway shoes on and I was on my way

After approx. 50 minutes I was on the top of Number 1 for the day Creag Leacach

Continuing along in the clag

The walk to Glas Maol seemed to take ages or was it just being in the clag
that the mind was not active enough
But it was at last reached and still nothing to see so quick pic and on my way

I decided to take a short detour out to Little Glas maol a have a look from there
in hindsight I should have stuck to my original plan

The walk out to Tom Buidhe and Tolmount is quite surprising in distance
thank god for the recent good weather as the ground was nice and dry
and what bog there was remaining was easily navigated

This guy now has a knack for beating me to the top .Summit of Tom Buidhe

Gave my walking partner his lunch here and took on my first fluids of the day
as it was now getting warm :D
A quick 20 minutes later and I was on the top of Tolmount that must be the quickest
2 in a row to bag

Top of Tolmount and at last the views are opening up

I took a break on my way to Cairn of Claise for a bite to eat and bask in the Indian summer
feeling refreshed I continued on my way and quickly reached Cairn of Claise

Moving along in what seemed like no time at all I was on the summit of Carn a Tuirc
here I met a party of walkers out for the day and a nice young lady took a pic for me

Number 6 and last of the day Carn a Tuirc

looking over towards Carn Aosda it really did look quite nice from this side
(pity about the other side

Now the bit I was not looking forward to the long walk back to the car
took about and hour and the sun really was shining now of all times to come out

Almost done and looking up Creag Leacach now clear of the clag

Back at the car I had a quick change a bite to eat and I was on my way
I enjoyed my day out but its not one I would fancy in the rain

You done that is a good time.

It took my friend and I 8 hours to walk it the other way round with only 1 stop. You must have been motoring

It was raining and yeah, it sucked
