Suilven - summit wild camp.

A short video and a few photos of my solo overnight wild camp on the summit of Suilven:

The walk in was simply beautiful and I soaked up every minute of it by regularly stopping for photos and filming.

The final pose and a last look round before heading downhill and off for a quick hike up Stac Pollaidh.

Unfortunately there was no colourful sunrise to round off a great trip.
It just gives me an excuse to get up there again!

Good on you - great pics. That's been on my list too.
There aren't many summits round here with such a perfect camping platform.
I wouldn't fancy any tent's chances up there tonight, though.

Really enjoyed that David - excellent video and edit. Fabulous weather and an experience that will no doubt last long in the memory- great film and loved the film of the reflction of Suilven over the misty mirror waters

Even without the sunrise, a cracking result !
Not sure about 19kg + water though, quite a weight to carry.
I see you also use a sawyer mini filter - great product - cheers

I didn't know you were on here when I saw the video mountainstar, I think we were both very fortunate with the weather. Even with a good forecast it's good to have some luck on your side.
