walked up the track on the other side of the road near Daligan Farm
got to the summit 35 mins (no cairn)
discovered that it is a clearing in the forest so no veiws
same track on return

The top of Ben Bowie is a fantastic viewpoint - Glen Fruin and Cowal to west, Luss Hills north, Loch Lomond and Glasgow east with Firth of Clyde and Arran south

As this is a rather uninspiring review on a hill I know quite well, here are a couple of photos (from the summit cairn) to redress the balance and perhaps inspire a return visit :

....and the Firth of Clyde and Arran to the south west

I do however concede that the views are not always this good...
