The summer/autumn season is over so with the poor weather and snow on the tops on Friday it's time to get back to the winter norm of covering the miles on the tracks around Dunkeld and Loch Ordie area.
It's been about 6 months since I was last in the area as I finished my training for The Pennine Way and as much as I enjoy walking in this area it also means the end of my jouneys all over the country to do various Munros, Corbetts and this year, Wainwrights.
The switch to Dunkeld also means a change in my normal walk of the last few months going from shorter distances with a lot of climbing to much longer distances and a lot less climbing.
After the wind and rain of the last few days I had assumed that the track to the north of Loch Ordie would be in pretty poor condition but it actually wasn't that bad and it was a good feeling to see Lochan Oisinneach Mor again.
Back at Loch Ordie I got the MP3 out and listened to some music for the last few miles.
Not much in the way of sunshine today but no threat of rain and 18.8 miles covered so a decent start.
