Great walk but very boggy. The climb is gentle and the crash site is really something to behold. The instructions for this walk are perfectly accurate but I would add a couple of things:
- Stage 5 is longer than you'll expect compared to the other sections (this was probably exaggerated for us as it was 2.30 in November and we were becoming concerned about daylight), so a level head is needed to just continue as you're told.
- make sure that you check the directions immediately after passing the crash site as you may miss the small cairn referred to.
- When you are following the cairns and then the way markers, look out for little pink ribbons.
- Take care on the boggy bits and in the water, some are pretty deep. i.e. more than knee deep on my 6ft 4 husband!
This is a nice couple of hours out.
