That was an amazing tale - congratulations to MRT and Broadford hospital - sounds like your rescuers saved you a lot of future anguish.

What have I learned from your story? Stay calm, have enough of a signal to phone for help, use your kit wisely and yes its ok to scream when it hurts

Take care of yourself - while I wonder if you've shamed me into writing up the reports that haven't been written this year   (They can't compete with yours for drama :? )

Holy ****

Ankle injuries are a total arse. I dislocated mine 3 years ago and was fortunate to get it seen to fairly quickly and the NHS staff did a top notch job of manipulating it back into place. Luckily they knocked me out for it

I wish you a speedy recovery :)

Yowch, I had to stop reading for a moment. You know that scary moment in a movie when you cover your eyes and block your ears??? Well, something like that but for reading.
So glad your rescue was relatively quick, could have been so different without signal. My partner and I usually walk together, but on times I have walked alone she always has a ground zero text to tell her where I'm going, and when we are doing something we class as 'dodgy' then we message a friend and tell her. Must remember to keep doing that this year.
Thanks for an enjoyable account of your walk and great pictures - I look forward to doing that soon.
