Our first attempt at climbing a hill in Scotland, after some training walks around Glen Tanar. Got through the boggy part at the start quite easily and then started the climb to the plantation. Once there, we met a friendly Border Collie, owned by the farmer doing the logging, who proceeded to start rounding us up for 100m before getting bored
The climb up the Tap wasn't as bad as we were expecting, especially since it was our first time and didn't know what to expect. Very windy on the summit until we got behind the rocks. Superb view from the summit. Light cloud around.
Highlight: Being buzzed by Tornado's, Hawks and Typhoons on training sorties from Lossie and a big thanks to the Hawk pilot who dipped his wings a couple of times during one pass when we waved at the plane.
