The weather today was meant to be pretty poor so I chose to do a small quick walk that was pretty local but the weather turned out to be about right for a decent walk....thanks MWIS :eh:

I parked by the converted church and followed the road to the train station.

At the station I took the tunnel under the station and stated up the short path to the sign where I done the wrong thing by going left :? I took what I thought was the path up into the tree.

It clearly was the wrong way, I was completely blocked by fallen trees :(
Image

I went left from the blocked bit of woodland and found this...I felt like a plonker

I wish I had read Bobble Hat Kenny's walk report. Just read his directions. Once you find the turn off you have this lovely path to deal with...
Image

I lost the path but found my way out of the trees and got my first views.

The hills I walked last week.
Image

I found the well walked path to the top of the hill.

Ben Lomond is such a tease
Image

The walk up this hill isn't that great but once at the top the 360' views of the larger hills all around you is well worth the effort.

On my way back down I got a good view of The Cobbler, my phone doesn't do the views justice.

The last view of Loch Lomond I'd get.

I followed the path down right into the woods and this should have been the way I came up

It looks like Bobble_Hat_Kenny's obstacle course has been chopped up.
