Geal Charn Mor in winter - word of advice?!

Very enjoyable walk. Fantastic views and starts in a lovely little hamlet. Trip from the first cairn to the summit was much colder than I expected! Word of warning - for those hoping (like me) to return via the circular route rather than retracing your steps, it seems to be impossible to find the path when there is snow about. There are mounds that look like cairns but as far as I can tell aren't marking any sort of sensible path, and there are several spots where the snow hides holes deep enough to break a leg/ankle in.
