Comrie / Good weather on friday saw billy michael and I with an early start for a round of Donalds at glen Artney - the chuch geocache was easily found but the rest were securely buried under the deep snow we encountered on our round - the pathless route over Beinn nan eun - Beinn odhar - the cairns and trig of Uamh bheag - then Meall clachach with its earth geocache was interspaced by reedbeds - bogs deep troughs- endless peathags and long tussock grasses - the large windfarm on our southern flank gave industry to a tree denuded landscape - sunshine and a cold wind kept us moving with Michael breaking trail to make our passage easier. Highlites were a meeting with "Bart"- a wooden log stuck upon a pole with a drawn smilely face - tha cache we didn`t find but the two Earth goecache sites we did and headed contented for the car - Next daysmeary rain saw trips to Benchonzie and achnafree hill while billy and I went to loch Lubnaig for an ascent of Sgaith a chaise - A stiff forrest walk from the loch follows the burn and joins a forestry track higher in the glen then into the mist and rain to the top - a swift return to the car then collect three caches on our return to comrie. The w/e enjoyed good craic - good food and a great party atmosphere - the hostel warm a spacious lacked a drying room - Come Sunday - a better day saw us all head home
