We returned to Glen Tanar for a short walk in preperation for the planned longer walks during our upcoming time off. This time we decided to do the Fairy Lochan walk, a nice 4.75km stroll really. Once again we were joined on this walk by the pesky flies. Im seriously thinking of buying some fly spray!!

After heading around the back of the main paddock, we came to the Fairy Lochan. I have never seen such still water before. Heading up the track we past ferns and pines, before turning down a grassy track and to the Waters of Tanar. The walk along the stream was beautiful, we even found a way down to the waters edge. Suprisingly, the water was warm!!

We got back to the visitor centre and as usual the flies disappeared.

Rating: 5/10 - nice scenary, but the flies ruin it for me. Maybe Glen Tanar is an Autumn area.
