Yewbarrow

Decided on a relatively short wander today, picking up a Wainwright that I hadn't yet bagged.

We parked at Overbeck car park and wandered up the side of Yewbarrow. Straight into the clouds...

We were awarded with superb views out of the "Great Door" :?

Before walking on to the top of Yewbarrow, and again taking in the superb views of Wast water below... :?

We wandered along the top of Yewbarrow, and descended on the other side before following the western side of the mountain back along the valley, and back to the car.

Even with restricted views it's always good to be out ADT, I'll bet your wee dog thinks so too

A great little walk ADT  and a shame about the restricted views :( I was fortunate enough to catch it on a good day and the views were spectacular :) Maybe next time you'll have more luck :) Good report and well done both of you

A tough little climb at the best of times, that one! Quite a wild adventure on a day like that.
