Kinpurney Hill - Great walk for the kids

It has been a long time since I have written a walk report as I have been recording my walks privately recently.

But I did this walk at the weekend with the family, including my two young boys(4 and 8yrs) and I thought this was a terrific walk for them and felt like sharing as it's ideal for those with kids.

The walk took only 2 hrs to complete, starting from a public carpark in Newtyle. Walking along the road until reaching the farm was a bit unnerving with the boys but once we were off the road, I could totally relax and the boys had a ball. They enjoyed walking along through the Den, seeing the small waterfalls and rockpools. They managed to tackled the "steep" bit of kinpurney hill which didn't take too long, then seeing the tower for the first time give them a sudden burst of energy and off they went, having a good muck about inside the tower which was the highlight of their day.

And this was all done in the rain and strong cold wind.

They loved it, and I enjoyed it too!
