Walkhighlands

It's always great to spend a day in the beautiful scottish Highland and see all the outstanding mountains...either it's a monumental mountain or an simple wee hill...nothing is ordinary there...the country is simply beautiful !
You can see the beauty if you are lucky in a clear day...or you can feel the beauty even if hidden in clouds if you are there...if you are walking there...if you are climbing there...
I felt the Easter monday would be a great opportunity to feel the mountains...to see them, to walk them, to climb them. I wanted the feellings on that day, I wanted walk...I wanted climb...I wanted to see...I wanted to feel it...by my body...by my soul...by my heart...by the present time there in the Highlands. I wanted just enjoy the day out there and any views or any climbed Munro or just a wee hill would be a bonus............



It was wet...it was boggy...it was sunshine...it was cloudy...it was snow...it was misty...it was fogy...it was whiteout...it was snowing...it was rain shower.......and it was clear again.......
............it was a day in scottish Highlands !!!

On my way back home I remembered an older report from Rod about a wee - short - quick hill near the road...a wee hill where you can get great views.

It was another great day in the mountains...enjoyed it all: driving and stopping for the shots, walking in the beautiful scottish nature, climbing the hills...and some calories burned as well !

After spending weekend at home with my family and having two wee trips with my daughter Cheyenne during the Easter weekend - happy to see her happy , then counting also this monday's trip to the mountains.......
I can just say:
"It was such a good Easter"

Very nice pics Petr love the one of Steall falls
I done Chonnish Beag with the grey corrie route and it gave great views
I was not far from you as the crow flies over at the head of Glen Lyon
but early in the day the visability was poor at times but great to be out

It is like Highland´s poem....about mountain passion...with crazy adventour (whiteout)...but with happy ending!

Some great pics here, Petr. I particularly like the ones of Stob Dearg and Creise with the thin band of mist on the ground.

And once on the hills, you obviously got some pretty good views, whiteout near the summit notwithstanding - as evidenced by some more excellent pics.

And finally, not forgetting Cheyenne - who looks very happy!

Lots of great pics there Petr and it's nice to read such a heartfelt appreciation the Highlands. There was a lot more snow up there than the week before! Looked quite challenging on Sgurr Choinnich Mor with those cornices in the mist!

Shame not to get the views from the summit Petr, but an adventure to remember

Thank you There was some fresh snow over the harder icy on the tops and also some fresh snow on the hills during my way in the morning...

Thank you Craig it belongs to the hillwalking, at least I got the mixed conditions that day and I hope I will get the views when I will do the Grey Corries from the North some weeks later
