Walkhighlands

Well, being myself and Stuart's Birthday week we decided to climb Ben Nevis. Whilst Stuart has undertaken this climb before I am ashamed to admit this was my first attempt! We had arrived late Sunday and having checked out the forecast for the week and consulted the very helpful assistant in the Glen Nevis Tourist Infomation Centre, decided that today was the best day for it. We left around 11ish and joined the many others on the ascent. Weather was changeable with Stuart in and out of his waterproofs! It became evident that Stuart's 'fitness' levels were not up to his days in the army and the climb therefore took a wee bit longer than anticipated! In fact near the top I was seriously worried if Stuart would make it up at all but after some fuel we eventually arrived at the summit. Whilst some clouds were evdiendt the views were still great and I desceneded safe in the knowledge I now had the Ben Nevis monkey off my back!
