Not sure where or how I was going to start this TR lets just say the last 9 months havent been the best health wise for gammy leg walker, one health issue after another kept cropping up for the gammy knee to hospitalization with a few different issues meant climbing anything more taxing the into bed at the end of the day was never going to happen. So to say I was apprehensive when starting back out was putting it mildly to say the least, and if your starting back why not just go for it in a big way and see exactly where I was health & fitness wise.

My thanks must go to my very good friends Jonny616 & Pollyh for all the encouragement on this one if its wasnt for them I would have given up long before we reached the summit.

Ive kept the words written on this one short, hope you all enjoy the pictures and next time I hope to write a more detailed TR,many thanks Gammy Leg WalkerImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Well done! That's a big undertaking with such a long break but a great hill to test yourself on. Hope it all goes well from now.

Brilliant effort to do such a long day :) You must be super fit
Its only been 22 weeks since I broke my ankle, but have been listed for another operation which will hopefully help so I know exactly how tough it is away from the hills.. I haven't been nearly as disciplined as you, with a string of fails on my hands as have been trying too much too soon
I do hope your recovery continues and you feel obliged to change your username soon 8)

Its surprising how the time flies, and I remember the walk in Affric where you had to turn back when your knee gave way. Only you knew it was he day over, we could only look on in despair. But this walk must have given you a huge boost and so well deserved as that is some hike for your first in so many months. It made me look back and realise that its 6 months since I stood on any summit myself :(

I'm deeply proud to call you my friend and to see this success brought a tear to the eyes, that's just how it is at present
