A word of warning, me and my dog were attacked by the herd of cows halfway up this walk today. Thankfully no serious injuries but both a bit shaken up! No obvious signs that there were even cows in the field until we came over a small hump and saw them. There were calves which I'm assuming is why the cows reacted. Dog was on the lead and barely taking an interest too. Oh and I lost a shoe if anyone is brave enough to go up there and retrieve it for me (Cheap shoe but expensive insole!)...

Further to the above when I told a friend at work today they said they had to make a quick retreat from the same cows (without a dog). So exercise extreme caution on this walk especially in calving season.

Thanks for the heads-up. I was going to do this walk with my dog today but will find an alternative
