My first ever Munro :D Only 283 to go. The walk didn't seem that hard at the time but my legs are still aching. No blisters though.

Views over forests for miles on the way up - but thick mist on the top - we had to imagine those views.

I had a similar experience in 2007. Lovely day down below, cloud and bitter wind on the summit. I did it in the very early morning as I had to drive down to England the same day, so I just went to the main summit and back. It was a weekend and when I got back down there were hoards of people of every age from about 5 upwards setting off from the car park. I wonder how many made it.

I would really like to have done the whole ridge and may go back, probably to do a circuit from the north east, taking in Clach Leathad Beag - which may get promoted to full Munro. (Apparently Sir Hugh wondered whether it should be a main top). Hopefully get a better view from the top next time.

good luck with your Munros fester, I hope you've done some more by now.
