Had intended to do the Glenshee area this weekend, however conditions weren't looking good for that area so contacted Bubba Ribeye and suggested going for this one instead, it was the final big hill in the Arrochar area that I still had to do. The conditions were excellent when we started out. Parked my car at the bridge before Lettermay, where there's a grass verge giving enough room for three cars.Took a deviation at the start and instead of following the Cowal Way went straight on to a path which followed the Lettermay Burn. This path petered out at a small waterfall and bridge, we then diverted left through some forestry debris and joined the Cowal Way path. From that point we followed the Walk Highlands route up to the summit. Conditions were excellent overhead and the views to the surrounding hills gave us a wonderful vista.Checked out the plane wreckage and then followed the fence line down to Lettermay Burn ,where we crossed over and picked up a forestry commission track and eventually reached the Cowal Way Trail , which we followed back to Lettermay.
