A stunning day led to a beautiful walk up Garbh Bheinn of Ardgour, a peak I'd driven past almost every day for about 9 months since moving to the area. A steep and scrambly start set the tone for the rest of the day. As with many Scottish peaks, Garbh Bheinn rises steeply from sea level, unrelenting until you reach the peak. On any other day I might have been suitably grumpy at its steepness, but the beautiful 360 degree views I was rewarded with as I climbed made up for my exertions. A few snow patches remained, especially in the gullies near the top, but not enough to slide down on descent - winter is truly behind us now.

A very enjoyable walk which could easily be made longer by continuing around the ridge. Highly recommend!
