@ BlackPanther Fingers crossed that the weather will improve again!

@PeteR ...you might be in luck for at least the Friday and Saturday next week8)

@Borderhugh laugh must have been the 3 days of no shower

@ PerthAlly...camping is great! It just needs the right amount of comfy gear :D

@malky_c thats a great food idea, need to pop into Aldis next time! I haven't really found a meal which is great during backpacking...its more a must eat than enjoyment of eating which is rubbish.

@Graeme D:Hehe expectation are high now when I meet others on hills :D

@electricfly: I have now imaged of you carrying crates of beer on each trip. 8) Other Walkhighanders might be given you expecting looks when you meet them in future. 7am ...urgh thats far too earlie for my liking, but I am guessing you made it back in time :D

@FromDownSouth...4.1 kilo for a camping trip or 'normal' daytrip??

Overnight camping trips but that weight doesn't include any food or water for each trip.

Great report ML, glad my erm 'bypass' helped out

It started from the bealach but dropped as it went round because I was heading onto Tarsuinn but dropped as I bypassed into the beautiful green corrie (ideal camp spot) beneath the bypasss on Meall Garbh.

The folk you bump into on a hill eh !! The bugger never mentioned anything about taking beer in, might have tempted me  But you got to meet the 'boys' :D and Electricfly of course :D

You can just leave your tent / gear ? Setting off to that area end april, start may, 8 days. With car/tent/pack. Great trip.

Hi Mountainlove
We're just back from pretty much the same trip but spread across 4 days, 2 in/out and 2 up, all planned based on your report. Long hoped to be in Fisherfield and it certainly lives up to it's reputation, a truly magical place. I never thought I had the legs, or lungs, for the Shenavall hike, so your post really did make it possible for me.
For that I just want to say thanks for inspiring 4 days that us 3 will never forget. And spiderwebb's, erm, bypass was also much appreciated as we wound our way back from Sgurr Ban!
Cheers :)

Loved the report.

Only thing to add is that the Fhearchair bypass needs a good head for heights. It’s not technically difficult, but the steepness is scary and the consequences of a fall would be broken bones at least.
