Any walk that takes in Sandwood Bay has to be good and this looks good!

Good route - had my eye on some of the Parph hills for a while, but haven't been up that way for a long time now. Great combination of bothy, hill, inland beach and Sandwood Bay :D .

I think those paintings were done by James McRory Smith, who lived there for years:

That looks a great walk. I'd like to try something similar but maybe cutting along the hillside above Sandwood Loch to see what the view is like.

With regard to the rock climbing in that area I`ve always been intrigued by the west face of Creag Riabhach.I think Mo Anthoine put up a few biggish routes on the crag in the 1970s but there is very little info on them.Maybe best left for other folk to find out for themselves :)

Thanks all. Can't go wrong walking in the NW HIghlands on a lovely day.

You're fairly cracking through them Sgurr. I am rapidly losing enthusiasm for the Grahams and don't know how I didn't die of boredom doing the Donalds. Glad to be of assistance.
