Hello and welcome to my very first walk report!

Sunday started as a beautiful day. I had been out on Saturday on another route in Ayr, so I didn't really want to go very far this time.

I took the subway to Partick and started the walk from the station, rather than starting from the Riverside museum. Soon, I arrived at the Kelvingrove Museum.

River Kelvin

And continued towards the Botanic Gardens...

Nice wee cascade

I was surprised to see there wasn't many people once I passed the Botanic Gardens.

Here I got a bit confused and instead of following the path I ended up in the middle of a field in the West of Scotland Science Park.

Found my way and continued walking towards the river. I have to say, I really loved some parts of this route, and hated many others. I don't think the paths are very well maintained, and there was rubbish as well.

Someone decided this must be a good place to throw their motorcycle away

The day was beautiful, I guess that fisherman was enjoying it too

Crossing the bridge next to the A879. This when I started to really enjoy this walk.

And it's time to say goodbye to River Kelvin and say hi to Allander Water...

jolly nice. i often used to walk this from my flat after work. The bit near Boclair is a favourite for some wildlife watchers. have seen hen harriers flying over about 7 or 8 years ago
