Ben Starav Trio

Parked up near Coileitir at 10pm. Back seats down in the car, sleeping mat & bag prepped for some shut-eye before a 5am start on Starav.

Looks daunting, but just a simple scrambly clamber over boulders

Looking back down the ridge and some cloud starting to move in ...


The summit of Ben Starav ... apparently there should be a crumbling circular trig point? Possibly hidden under the cairn?


The clag moved in obscuring the summit views. I waited 20-30 minutes to see if it would clear, but unfortunately it was not to be


Still some old snow still kicking about


Moving into the unknown ... navigating the rocky ridge towards Stob Coire Dheirg


There wasn't much else to see until I got back under the cloud on route to Beinn nan Aighenan


Beinn nan Aighenan was rockier than I expected, but an easy walk up


Some views open up towards Cruachan


Back in the clag on the summit of Beinn nan Aighenan


Loch Tulla in the distance


A bit clearer now back at the bealach, some views across Glas Beinn Chaol


Back up into the clag to Meall nan Tri Tighearnan


Conditions starting to brighten up


Eventually rewarded with a view back to a clag-free Beinn nan Aighenan


Onwards to Glas Beinn Mhor


Looking back to the top of Meall nan Tighearnan and Ben Starav starting to make in appearance in the background
