Epic trip, well done to you both!

P.s. Don't think about age....I only really got into hillwalking after I turned 40 and in under 4 years have completed the Munros, Corbetts and part way through the Donalds and Grahams now, with Simms being thrown into our trips by my crazy friend!

A wonderful walk, and you had smashing weather for it! It's on my list for this year!

Interesting discussion on water. Most of us tend to take too much food and too little water.... I find that on days like you had for this length of walk, I typically get through 6 - 8 litres!!

Wow, an amazing effort. 10 Munros in a day. Just unbelievable!. I've done the central 5 Munros just 3.5 weeks ago and its amazing to see how fast the snow has melted. And your oasis Lochan coire nam Miseach was our oasis as well. One of my mates even took a bath in the crystal clear water.

Thanks again for all the comments. They're nice to read.

It's actually quite hard to eat and drink as much as your body needs on a big day like this. You're so focussed on just getting through it that you forget the needs of your body. I had to force myself to eat and drink. I must have consumed about 5000 calories that day, and drank about 6 litres of water. Even that wasn't enough...

Mancunian, that water looks cold! Your mate is hardy for swimming in all that snow-melt.

My thighs got sore reading that .
I hope you went somewhere and ate your own body weight in chocolate ,McDonalds and fish suppers after that.
I would have.

I'm veggie, so no! However, I do like chocolate so I consumed much of that...

Funnily enough my legs were OK the next day. I did the Loch an Daimh 2 Munros on the Sunday, so couldn't have been too bad.
