From the parking area at Fersit there seems to be a miriad of paths that will lead to the concrete pillar on the ridge (I'd be interested to learn the purpose of this pillar and it's brother if anyone knows) I guess this area can be very boggy and attempts to avoid this have made various impressions. We walked to the dam and took what looked the best line up to the ridge on the bits of trod that appeared. The way is then clear along the broad ridge, the golden plovers seem to like it here as much as on the other side of Loch Treig but identification was a bit easier on a clearer day than Sunday. Sunshine and showers with the cloud off the hills gave us great views of the Grey Corries and treats in store. Eventually the top of Stob Choire Mheadhoin is reached then into the coll and up the slopes of Stob Choire Easain. Returning to the coll and dropping down to the N brings you to a path that skitrs the hill all the way back to the pillar and then to the car park, this path comes and goes and is boggy in places but it would be a hard slog if you failed to find it, going right down to the Allt Laire looks like it could be a bit damp.
