This was day 1 of my trip to Torridon we had booked a nice cottage in the village
for 5 days the views all around were very impressive and with Laithach as a backdrop
to the cottage what more could I ask for
we drove to the carpark and set off at 9am first car to arrive I had decided to tackle this
anti clockwise so my wife could have a little walk with myself and the dogs
to the foot of the main ascent up onto the horns

The first part on the ascent went fairly easy with just 1 point near the top
were I gave the dogs a help be pushing them up
then it was onto horn number 1 that also was very esy going up with just a couple of points
on the downclimb where we were able to move around the more awkward parts
the next 2 horns were easier so we were soon over them and onto the pull up to Sgurr Mor

The vistas were changing all around the higher we got it was just sublime
what a day it was and it was not too warm just perfect for walking :D
just over an hour after setting out we were on the summit of Sgurr Mor
and it was stunning looking out over Torridon and far far beyond
words cant describe the feeling of joy just to be here and all alone not a soul in sight

After a short stop for a LOT of pics it was then time to head now for Tom Na Gruagaich
passing the Black Cleft

The ridge over was very easy going did notice that work had been done on
badly eroded parts and re-growth was taking place on the netting that had been
put it place to help
On the Ascent over up to Tom Na Gruagaich I met a couple the first of the day
Once I reached the cairn there was another lady reading a book and just enjoying
the day ,

Having taken a LOT more pics I headed along to start to descent back down
to the starting point ,but as my wife had taken the car I knew the walk back
would be into Torridon village to the cottage but on a day like this
it would only add to the greatness of the walk :D :D :D

I met the guys who were rebuilding the path a few years ago when they were staying at the YH (as was I) and the guy who led the work party was really nice. I didn't know that is what they were about until I met them again on the hill actually doing the work the next morning. Hard graft that was. I'm glad their efforts paid off.

Great pics. Being Alligin is one of my favourite hills in Scotland and I love seeing it from a distance.

Hard graft these guys do is an understatement when you see some of the boulders they move about
and I wholly agree with you Beinn Alligin is a Jewel in the Torridon crown
