Simon

Let me add my (belated) congratulations!

I'm particularly intrigued by your strategy of unaided day walks only. How, for example, did you do things like Ben Alder - where did you start from? It'd be really interesting if you were to compile guidance on the way to do the hard to reach ones (after all, you must have time on your hands now!).

Congratulations again,

Martin

Thanks, Martin.

In answer to your question, here's how I got to perhaps the most remote Munros:

Western Fisherfields

Eastern Fisherfields
http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=33578

Ben Alder 2

North Alder 4

Ceathreamhnan 3

I hope you find this information useful. Of course, there are also those who have done the whole Fisherfield round or even the Mullardoch 12 in one day walk! (Not to mention Lawers 7, Mamores 10, Nevis+CMD+Aonachs+Grey Corries etc. etc...) So my own strategy was quite doable, compared to the achievements of some others.

Congratulations Simon, well done on your compleation. I did these two in May this year, and the weather was as usual mixed. The bothy was a welcome refuge to dry out, before the long walk-out. I'm glad these two are behind me now, as they always seemed to be a daunting task.
